The Faculty of Political Science was founded in 1969.
Its seat, in the centre of the town near Principe Railway Station, is a former Jesuit College, better known as Palazzo dell’Università; it is considered the symbol of Baroque architecture in Genoa.
Lectures take place at the seat and in the nearby Polo Brignole, housed in the historical building known as the Albergo dei Poveri
In the academic year 2009/2010 the Faculty has revised its courses to comply with National Law (D.M. 270/2004), which has renewed the two-level studying cycles, introduced for the first time into the Italian University system in 2001/2002.
- first-level degree (laurea)
- second-level degree (laurea magistrale)
